Cryptathon is a trading simulation game published by Samarpit Santoki, an individual based in India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the Cryptathon app and website collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Cryptathon uses virtual money only. We never collect payment details, bank details, or real trading account information.

1. Data we collect

Device identifier. When you open the app we create a guest account keyed to an identifier generated on your device. This is how the app remembers you without a signup.
Email address (optional). Only if you choose to save your account or join the beta list on our website. We send a one-time code to that address to verify it.
Game activity. Your virtual orders, positions, balances, season and tournament standings, and anything you post to the in-app feed.
App diagnostics. Crash reports, performance data, screens visited, and network request timing so we can find and fix bugs. Session recordings, when enabled, mask all text and images.
Security logs. IP address and request metadata, used only to prevent abuse and rate-limit traffic.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or advertising identifier.

2. Why we collect it

To run the game: match your orders, keep your balance, and show leaderboards.
To keep your account safe and stop bots, duplicate accounts, and abuse.
To fix bugs and improve performance.
To send you the emails you asked for: account codes, the beta invite, and the launch notice.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Service providers that host our systems process data only on our instructions.

4. Retention

Account and game data: kept while your account exists, deleted when you delete the account.
Diagnostics and session recordings: 30 days.
Security logs: up to 90 days.
Beta list email: until you unsubscribe, or 90 days after the public launch, whichever comes first.

5. Your choices

Delete your account in the app under Settings > Delete account, or follow the steps on our account deletion page. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Unsubscribe from beta or launch emails with the link in any email.
Ask us what we hold about you, or to correct it, by emailing samarpit.santoki@gmail.com.

6. Children

Cryptathon is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we delete it.

7. Security

All data moves over encrypted connections. Access to stored data is limited to what is needed to run the service.

8. Changes

If this policy changes we update this page and the date at the top. Material changes are also announced in the app.
